Game 3: Chris Harrell went the distance giving up a 2 run homer to the second batter and shutting them out after that. The offense was slow getting going but in the second Hoy singled went to second on a wild pitch and scored on a Robb Moynagh bouncer to the outfield. Mound would get only 1 more hit before the final inning but it was worth the wait. R. Moynagh started the inning with a double to the fence in left center, Rettke bunted pinch runner Billy Sullivan over to third, then Waterhouse lined a ball to right to even score and with 2 outs Kutz was hit by a pitch for the 3rd time over the weekend and Snyder bounced one to right field to score the winning run and securing the first place finish.

May 29 @ Buffalo

The Game was out of hand from the first inning with Buffalo scoring 4 runs and adding on all game long until in the 8th when they finally got ahead of the Mallards by 10 runs 13-3. Billy Sullivan started for the first time this year on the hill and had a tough go of it and no real help by his fielders. The Mallards had a bunch of outs get away from them and they came back to hurt. The offense saw all of the runs scored in the 5th inning. Waterhouse had a bunt hit and was running on a single to left by Pete Harrel but was out trying to go to third, Kutz was hit by a pitch, snyder singled in 1 run and Chris Harrel doubled in 2 went to third on a R. Moynagh single but the rally ended there. Waterhouse P. Harrel, C. Harrel, K Moynagh and Rettke each had 1 hit While Snyder and R. Moynagh each had 2 hits.  Jeff Barrett and Noah Waterhouse finished on the hill.

June 1 @ Rockford

The game started out well enough for the Mallards. A first inning walk to Nate Palm followed up by a Kutz single and a force out had runners at 1st and 3rd with 2 outs and a R. Moynagh single, after a number of 2 strike fouls, knocked in a run. Then the game got away from the Mallards in the bottom of the inning as Andy Snyder making a rare start pitching had trouble finding the small strike zone and after a long inning Rockford had 7 runs and an almost certain win. The Second inning saw Mound score again when right fielder Billy Sullivan was hit by a pitch and then the new Mound pitcher Pete Harrel hit a long double to score him but that was all the Mallards could muster until the 5th inning. While Harrel was putting up doughnuts the Mallards struck for 3 more runs when Snyder walked and a grounder up the middle was miss handled then Rettke was hit by a pitch for the second time in the game, to load the bases for K. Moynagh who walked to force in a run and Erik Sandler followed with a run scoring hit but Rettke was cut down at the plate on a close call. Kirby scored on a P. Harrel fielders choice and the score was 7-5. Rockford would get 1 run in the bottom of the inning but Mound came back again. Kutz singled, Snyder walked but was then forced out on a close play from deep in the hole by the shortstop. Rettke singled in Kutz and K. Moynagh singled in R. Moynagh but Rettke was this time thrown out at third base and the rally died with Mound down only 1 run.  the mallards never really came close to scoring again and Rockford would 3 more tuns off of Jeff barrett and Neil Eidenschink, to make the final score 11-7.

June 8 DC @ Mound:

This was pitchers duel all game, DC did score 5 runs on 10 hits while holding the Mallards to 8 hits and a hit batter for the entire game. DC scored 3 in the 3rd inning off of starter Mitch Dunaway on three hits and 2 sac flies. In the 6th DC would add on the final 2 runs of the game with 3 hits and 2 walks. Jeff Barrett would come in and pitch 2 scoreless innings and only faced 6 batters. Noah Waterhouse would pitch a perfect ninth inning to end the DC night at the plate. Mound had not one runner get to third, had 2 runners on at once only 2 times and hit into 3 double plays. Leading the way hitting were Pete Harrel, Eddie Kutz and Kirby Moynagh with 2 hits each while Noah Waterhouse and Dan Hoy had one hit each.
